Nuneaton Federation of Allotment Associations
Open days are usually held in August when the National Society for Allotment and Leisure Gardeners (NSALG) promote national allotment week. These are free to attend and you will be able to have a chat about gardening and the weather or anything else, usually with a cup of tea and you might be able to get some cake!
The market stall follows in September on a Saturday, purely to promote allotmenteering and not to sell. Each allotment association puts together a hamper of produce, usually with a theme (2023 was the coronation). The mayor is invited to attend and will judge the hampers. During the day we sell raffle tickets for the prize of a hamper (there are at least 12), with the proceeds going to the Mayor's appeal. We have managed to collect more each year, thanks to the generosity of the residents of Nuneaton and the tireless efforts of all the volunteers.
